    So what would ye recommened?
I heard to keep an eye out on tv's that are HD commpatable and although the sony's are regarded as the best (so ive heard) the are not HD commpatable.

Saw a few phillips too and they are mighty fine
Didnt one of their 32" get tv of the year from what tv.

1000 euro would be the max i could pay.

I got a 32" Philips 100hz tv about 9 months ago and i'm very happy with it. It cost me €999 at the time, but tbh, the fact that you can get a 42" plasma under €3000 now, means if i was going out to buy a new tv today, i'd shell out the extra cash for the plasma.

I got a Sony Wega (FQ86T I think) and its great. Amazing picture quality, everything looks rea, almost like looking through a window. I don't know about HD ability, but the digital tv and dvd picture is great, so I'm not sure what could be improved. I'd definitely recommend it.

Sky are rolling out hdtv in 2006 in the uk so god knows when we'll see it, and even then it'll be through an stb so i wouldnt be rushing to worry bout hdtv for a while yet.
