    It's good and no there won't be any massive difference between 100 and 133 since HDD can't even saturate 100.

    To be realistic, a 7200RPM hard disk can only come close to saturating an ATA-33 interface, let alone an ATA-100 one. The biggest significance here is the fact that virtually all ATA-133 controllers support LBA-48 addressing (i.e. are able to use all of disks with a capacity of more than 137GB) whereas many ATA-100 controllers don't.

    Western Digital drives are okay, as far as I've encountered them - the same drive, if I'm not mistaken, is E172 on komplett (http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=117527&cks=PRL). Considering which one will be easier to deal with in the event that you have to use the warranty, and the hassle you'll probably have to go to getting that one in Lidl (queueing, baseball bats, ...), I'm not sure it's worth it for 23 quid.

    lidl have excellent support from everyone I've heard who've done business with them ...

    sure it might be a bit of a queue but ... you can't fault their support :)

    cheers guys, thats the one so, its for a friends comp im helping build atm, msi k8n, athlon64 3400, galaxy 6800gt, dual layer dvd rw, thermaltake case and psu(600watt), mx510 and logitech keyboard is what we've got so far for just over 1100
