The new Simpsons ad on Network 2 (if anyone says RTE 2 I will crack them open :) ) where some really poor voice is being used to impersonate Lisa. God it really makes me hate this country, especially the last bit of the ad.

Yes, I still say Network 2, RTE spent about €2million 're-branding' when they 'switched' from network 2 to RTE 2

    money well spent lads.

The ad where the mother throws herself down in the supermarket the bitch is totally annoying. Also any ads using false accent's that many people use nowaday's like the one that the young fella ask's his mother to take him heurling what a little bollix. That other annoying ad where your wan is directing traffic with a cold then your man gives her a tablet and she sing's that stupid song with an equally stupid dance. TV license ad where the inspector let's the whole neighbourhood know who didn't pay their license it would put anyone off paying their TV license.
I think the "mother in the supermarket" is actually now playing the loony Doctor May in Eastenders, you know the wan whose hubby duffed up Dawn the bar maid and now she wants to get Dawn's baby.
Are you sure about the wan directing traffic having a cold? What you described sounds like the ad for Gaviscon antacid/heartburn gunge, you know, the stuff that tastes like Pernod mixed with semi-synthetic motor oil. Is the song in the ad you are thinking of "What a Feeling" from that stupid Flashdance movie? If it is then it's deffo the Gaviscon ad.
Any advert about tv licenses rubs me the wrong way.
My all time worst ad has to be that one that Bord Gáis ran back in the 80's or early 90's with the teddy bears going around singing "50-50 cashback, 50-50 cashback, it's half price gas, it's half price gas." Couldn't get that damn tune out of my head for months, and now just thinking about it has brought it back again..... aaaaarrgh :o

What I'd give for a bit of 50/50 cashback now. I've just received my latest gas bill. It's over 300 quid. Robbing bastards!

Infomercials are great, especially food related ones. There was one that used to be on TV3 every night ages ago, some blender yoke with different sized containers that you could blend with. Can't remember the name. Anyway it was set up as a couple showing it off to their middle class friends, and the script was unbelievable. One of the men comes down hungover half way through and they make an "energy" smoothie for him, that kinda crap. All the food they made with it looked so delicious, especially the quesadilla. Anyway, the whole thing was amazing, I must have watched it 20 times.

edit: quick search and I managed to find it. The Magic Bullet. Not surprisingly the infomercial has a cult following, and I've just now remembered the best bit, when one of the lads drinks the health smoothie at the end. It's so awesome. "Not like vegetables at all!"

This is the ultimate "so bad it's good".

Haha yeah, I watched this ad soo many times when I was living overseas, (there was absolutely nothing else on, and this was in daytime ) It's so funnily crap. An english man with american woman and their 'zaney friends.
I was in knickers laughing when I came home to find my mam got one! I rushed out to the shops to buy ingredients to make the pesto they always make on the ad. It's still sitting in the fridge...

That Malteser ad with the 2 women chatting in an office, and yer wan decides to flash her brassiere at some fella outside the window of the cubicle, because the Maltesers don't make her feel naughty. That kinda fits into the category of so good it's bad ads, doesn't it?
The Crazy Frog ringtone ads were SBIG as well before they did a Twink on him and zipped up his...

I love the ad where the Mother fakes the tantrum in the supermaket. When I watched it with my 4 year old he said thats silly & I said well that's how you look when you winge or moan in a shop. He rarely does it now thanks to that ad plus the fact if I think he's gonna winge or have a tantrum I get in there first & pretend I am and he knows its not going to work on me anymore! You get a few funny looks but its worth it in the long run :o

Myself & my daughter also love the ads that sponsor Desperate Housewifes where they say "L is for Lindemans". Or also the Herbal Essence that sponser it on Channel 4. They're so stupid but good.

Also the ads for certain toys make me laugh like the one for the world of magic pens or rainbow art. My son is glued to the tv when they come on. Its almost like he goes into a trance!! His favourite one is Matchbox mega rig and no matter where he is in the house he'll speed into the sitting room like lightening to watch it again in a trance.
