    Saw this movie this evening (couldn't get in to Pearl Harbor - all booked up in the "big fella" screen in the Ster... probably a blessing too wink.gif) - was quite impressed...

    ...thought the main character reminded me a lot, in looks and attitude, of Roy Keane. ...

    ... eerily enough the nut-job loon who was trying to beat him to death a couple of times looked like the WWF wrestler Chris Benoit. Needless to say, I'm disgusted at myself for recognising him as such, and need to go outside now to beat myself senseless.

    Nah... sod that- would make for an interesting match-up smile.gif

    My bet is on Keano wink.gif

    Anyway- ... the film - nice plot- good characters, - sort of like Full Metal Jacket in some ways, but without the "real" combat in the field. I'd recommend it.

    i liked this alot too.....same setting as the first half of full metal jacket, but less stylised and uncomfortable than kubrick's take.....I still think his is the best vietnam movie...but this is more realistic.....
    great acting from the homeboy....did you notice his accent slip a little towards the end?....i think he did it on purpose, just so's those american idiots don't go thinking he's one of them!

    (also, did you notice how white everyone's teeth were, sort of ruined the illusion!
