Problems With Raid Setup..

im having problems setting up my raid ...my specs are below im useing two raptors 34gb each ...anyhow heres what happens ...at the moment im running my OS on the sata 160GB HD... ive gone into the software on the 160 for the raid and ive made the driver floppy disc ...then ive booted up form the cd-drive with windows disc in the drive and as soon as the setup starts i press F6 after been asked to press if i have any drivers for my raid ...then it loads some files then it shows the drivers from the floppy and asks me to choose the right one which is A: for xp and B:for NT...

so i press the xp as im running xp pro ...then it goes back into loading windows and then it comes up that the driver can not be found on the xp cd-disc ,do you want to skip this file or retry ...This is the second time it has requested these files the first time it took them form the floppy but now it wont take them from the floppy it says its looking for them on the windows cd .....so i did a copy of my windows disc and threw the raid drivers in nearly every folder and still it keeps saying it cant find them.

it does show the drives as being the one drive as a 70gb drive which means the raid config is working ...but it wont load the dam drivers any ideas here would be great ....remember there is three raid setups on this mobo 2 sata 1x ide and yes i am using the right drivers for the right raid
any help would be great thanks

i thinkits just looking for the drivers to be installed to the HDD when it reboots and load the rest of the setup it'll be already there, but you should be able to skip it and carry on loading xp onto your drive, then install the driver again after when you in windows mode, it made look for the drivers again in the GUI setup, you should be able to select the driver then!

Try that see if that works!

i had the same problem, inthe end, i installed OS onto a spare drive and ghosted an image of the drive onto the Raid array. and now if it fails i have a spare copy of os already loaded onto a drive, so a quick ghost and your sorted again!

it gives me a blue screen when i skip the drivers for the raid so it wont allow be to install windows untill it picks up the drivers

is the raid array now set up in your non raid drive-ie in windows? and does the bios see it as one drive?

norton can be fickle, there is other imaging software avaible, try maybe r drive or any others
