My gmail inbox offers a link saying "invite 6 friends to join gmail".
However, unlike all other links, nothing happens when I click on it.
This applies whether I use Firefox or Explorer.
Is there something special about this link?

    there doesnt seem to be.
it opens as a new window so maybe a pop up blocker is in the way?
try the wheel click in firefox and see what happens

    Its sort of wierd.
I assumed its either a privacy settings or pop up blocking thing but...
    1. I've no problem opening the "help centre link which is also effectively a pop-up.
    2. I've dropped my IE privacy settings really low and swiched off my pop up blocking nad relaunched the browser and still it don't work...

What's the touch pad version of the "wheel click" button on firefox?

    shift and click i think
i meant open it in a new tab and see if it still stays blank

Thanks for the advice - but it won't open in a new tab.
When I put the curser over the link it changes to a hand as I'd expect but if I then right click on it I get the typical menu for ordinary page space - not the option to "open link in new tab" etc.

Eventually cracked it using the recently enhanced bugs and help material on the gmail site.
They have a secure server log on (https) which you can use and which works.
