Bit ****ed off that The Wonder Boys didn't get more nominations. I am very pleased that Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon got the second most nominations with 8 in TOTAL. Gladiator got the most with 9. Castaway didn't get nominated for best picture though, which was odd.

On the "oscars" topic, why didn't Bill And Teds Excellent Adventure ever get an oscar?

    I'm a bicycle!!

    I'm offended.

    BAN THAT GUY!

In all seriousness....the greatest place on earth!

Personally, I was most disappointed when Chuck Norris didn't get his nomination for best supporting actor for his defining role as Barron VonTrapp from The Sound Of Music after his cameo in the little story we all wrote before Christmas (Literature Board if you wanna trawl for it)...

Glad to see Crouching Tiger up there with the best of them!

    All the best,

Even though I have an aversion to Julia Roberts I may hire EB out.

Get it out Gandy, I normally can't stand her and only went to it in cinema cos it had been directed by Stephen Soderbergh.

Excellent film, and she was extremely good in it. Oscar-worthy even smile.gif

*First Jaunt outside the halflife boards ..be gentle smile.gif*

Gladiator was truly excellent, As a film it didnt really add up to the some of its parts ,which is prolly why it seems a bit over represented in the nominations bit , but Im not complaining , definitley best film for me ..what gets me is Crouching tiger Hidden Dragon ...I mean , Im no fool when it comes to films but it really wasnt that good , having seen it twice I have to say that apart from the beautiful way it was shot its got no business in the oscars
