:o alot of people keep saying to me that michael schumacher is destroying formula 1 and that he should retire.......NO THIS IS NOT THE CASE! if he was to retire and kimi or JPM were to take over as the world champion they would not deserve it as the only reason that the would be the world champion would be because they drove out the man that they couldn't beat......so would they ever stop crying like little girls and get on with the job at hand and develop their cars and their own skill so they can challenge schumi and make formula 1 better. this is the only way things can get better, cause if schumi goes f1 would loose its greatest comodity(forgive my spelling) and f1 would seriously begin to decline......as it would loose the following of an estimated 10 million michael schumacher fans world wide..... :o

I can never forgive your spelling of 'lose' as 'loose' as in "the rope was loose"
    Terrible.

I used to be a regular viewer of F1 up until a couple of seasons ago.
I've since lost interest in it completely.
It's just so boring these days.
Schumacher and Ferrari being so dominant.
He is an amazingly talented driver and the team at ferrari have been building better and better cars since he joined.
I don't think he should be hounded out of the sport but how do you level the playing field a little to curtail his dominance.
I'd love to see all the drivers in identical cars but that's not going to happen either.

It's all so easy to be a schumacher fan cos you know you're on the winning side.
Of races i've watched recently i've kinda of forgotten about schumacher and concentrate on the driving of say button, sato, raikonnen etc.
Sato has been a huge surprise since leaving jordan.
It's like jordan is the preschool for a lot of great drivers.

The point that im trying to get across is that if the teams concentrate on developing their cars then they might get closer to him, that would attract viewers, increase tv revenue and make the sport far better than what it is!

None of the teams are going to get closer to him as things stand though...Ferrarri have €600 million + to spend on car development and consistency in staff..how many other teams can match that. Williams are going backwards , Mc Laren have lost focus since Ron decided he wanted to look after the business end...who else is there.. BAR ? , not going to happen for another couple of years. Renault ? , with Briatore in charge and their ever changing driver line ups I dont think it'll happen there.

The only way to stop the prancing horses dominance is to level the playing field, restrict the development in certain areas, restrict the budgets too , maybe even change the format of a GP weekend. Make it a real drivers championship again ( Schumi will probably still win it ..but at least others will make a fight of it ) The drivers are out there to beat MS..Montoya can do it, Kimi can do it too as can Alonso ,they've all proven that alongside him they arent afraid of him... give them equal equipment they may even beat him.

i dont want you guys to take me up wrong here,i am not a fan of his,
but what you are seeing in formula one over the last few years is the making of a legend.
he has nearly broke every record there is and in years to come when he has retired that is how he will be seen.
like you hear how good fangio and senna was,its how the future generations will see him
so just enjoy watchin a legend do his stuff(no matter how boring it can get at times)
    ;)

And how do you propose they get this money for development?
The major engine manufacturers are starting to pull out, you only have to look at Ford.
Ferrari have the biggest budget and unless there are limits put on development budgets then there's no way they'll ever compete.
