well he's only been at Liverpool for a year and a half, and if you think he's been brutal for all that time, your memory needs checking.

He actually had a very good start at Liverpool and by December last year he was leading the race to be Liverpool's player of the year on both the polls on the Liverpool website (one fans and one reporters). At that time I think I remember seeing that he was the second highest scoring midfielder in the premier league.

Since then he has been largely pants, with just the odd moment of inspiration, for example against Monaco, when thanks to some magic on the left wing, he left 2 defenders for dead and played a superb ball that put Cisse clean through.

But I do think its fair to say he's been brutal for 1 year!

As for Richie, he's gotten injured again! Though its only a couple of weeks layoff this time, hopefully.

Kewell has never been a "great" player. He's showed occasional flashes of brilliance here and there but when you look at the top left wingers in the Premiership, Duff, Pires (though not strictly a left winger) and Giggs, they are consistantly brilliant for their teams. Kewell's run of match form lasts maybe 2-3 games at a time depending on the fixture list.

Liverpool have improved somewhat but they still don't have enough championship winning players in the squad. I really think Duff's position was vunerable a while back and they might have succeeded in a bid, but he's player the last 3 games for chelsea and shone in every match so I can't see him going right now.

I know that he is only at Liverpool a year and a half but cant remember him playing so well for Leeds before the move!

agreed, but in leeds run to champs league semi (the year as opposed to the competition specifically) he was very good, seemed to have acres space behind front 1 or 2. He had been of the boil for leeds since then and hasn't IMO done it for liverpool or remotely justified his wage packet. Never made it to great player level at his best and hasn't seen his best for a while. Hopefully this can change.
