Hopefully not, that would be awful. I'd go the other extreme and ban posters for politicians as well.

WEll the media go very easy on their politicians in America. You'll all remember the furore of what was a very easygoing interview by Carole Coleman of George Bush. White House officials wanted her to ask George what he thought of the trousers that Bertie Ahern had been wearing in the G8 summit in the Bahamas. Here we have the most powerful man in the world, about to head to Europe to a NATO summit and with his country involved in a major invasion and they want a reporter to ask him what he thought of another politicians fashion sense? What else would they want her to have asked him, what his favourite colour was, or whether he drank tea or coffee? What would he do if he had to face a hard interview from someone like Olivia O'Leary or Vincent Browne. If anything, they need to borrow some of what we do during our elections, and put some real questions to the politicians.

Just before the last general election one of the tabloids front page had a picture of Micheal Noonan photoshopped to look like a clown. With the headline "Don't let this clown ruin the country"
