thought id ask you guys about this for a bit of advice,

now im studying "computer science" at university everybody seems to want my services!

so i was told to look at 1 of my mates mums comps, she said lots of it was playing up and could i just wipe the thing so she could start again, so well i formatted it and stuck xp pro in..and this all went well

but (its one of these crappy pre built jobs from the likes of pc world or currys or summat) ...when you turn the comp on from a cold boot the hard drive sounds like its trying to take off! seriously . proper revving up!, calms down after a while but i was wondering is the hard drive on the blink and she keeps getting programs that play up or wont work for some reason (before the format it was something to do with yahoo) now after the format msn is playing up, also it doesnt turn off it crashes every time, oh and the cd wont read a single disc :D

dont you just love pre built crap, tbh it doesnt bother me that much i think she would prob ask me to build her a new one if this one doesnt wanna play ball, i was just wondering though, i mean ive cleaned everything off and im still getting problems, i said id go round on friday and take a look inside..

sound like a fecked drive maybe?..or maybe some other hardware, you never know wot your gonna get when u take off the side panel to 1 of them crappy little white pre built...thingys! :p

the type of person she is though, she wont let me just buy a drive for it, she will just ask for a whole new pc

ill play around in bios and check any cables, thats all i can really do without any other bits of hard ware to test...ah well, we shall see
