Does anyone notice this over the summer period.

I have noticed severe mental regression in myself especially evident in my spelling which is deplorable now.

Yes, it has been noticed. Apparently after 2 weeks holidays, your IQ can drop 10%. Alternatively, 6 pints of beer can be used to halve your IQ.

I'd far prefer to drink 'em. Bit of a waste, just using them to halve your IQ.

(I may notice this regression if I ever got any poxy holidays!)

So a two week drinking holiday in Ibiza should come pretty close to rendering you legally brain dead.

    Halve your IQ?
    Hrmm..
I think that's not right, perhaps halve the number of braincells you have (shocking stuff), but not IQ... IQ is determined by tests, and can vary between test and test. It isn't in fact a very accurate gauge of intelligence..

I've come to think of past experiences as the best gauge for intelligence.

It's because you're not drinking enough, it gives the weaker cells a chance to grow and reduces the overall average.

    You need Guinness, and quickly!
