    Hi,
Just wondering what (if any) is the difference between the different brands of Sky box e.g. Pace, Grundig, Panasonic etc?

    thanks,

As you know, they're all intended to do the same thing in the same way. Leaving that aside, the Panasonics are generally regarded as the fastest (as in "fastest EPG"). My father and I both got in Sky at around the same time and my Panasonic is rather faster than his Grundig (I don't know if Grundig make boxes any more) - because I'm used to the EPG being a certain speed for scrolling, his seems pathetically slow to me. The Grundigs also seem to have a problem with regular teletext at times, it's been reported here a few times. I've no experience whatever of Pace boxes.

I had thought Thomson were already in the market? They bought the Grundig name AFAIK. Panasonic and Sky went their seperate ways sadly. But as Tony says, the Pace seems to be OK.
