Wireless mouse losing connection

    Hi,

    I've the logitech mx900 mouse/keyboard (bluetooth wireless).
I have a boot manager on my PC for booting into different OS's. When I start the PC the connection is fine, I can enter the bios. However when the bootmanager loads I lose the connection. I have to unplug the receiver from the USB port and plug it back in to get connection so that I can proceed, very annoying.

I've tried different boot managers but the same problem. They work ok initially every time I restart the PC but when I attach a usb external hard drive for the first time after installing the first OS and restart the PC, the connection is lost, might be just coincidence but it has happened every time.

Any idea, it's driving me mad? I've lost count of how many times I've reinstalled boot managers and different OS's.

    Thanks.

I have had usb problems similar to yours. My pc just says that a PS2 mouse is not connected even though i have been using a USB mouse for years. Try connecting it using a PS2 adaptor and see what happens...I presume if it works you can just plug it out and plug in the usb while Windows or whatever is loaded...

The mouse & keyboard are wireless and connect through a hub. The hub has a cable that connects to a usb and a keyboard ps2 connection. When I get to the bootmanager I have to pull out the usb cable and put it back in. After that the connection is ok. Very annoying having to keep pulling the PC out every time I start it up...
