Ah - a classic indeed... I remember watching it a few years ago (about 8 actually, now that I think of it) in a scout den with loads of scouts from all round Dublin. Big dark hall... small TV, all of us crowded around it on those old style primary school sized single chairs (you know the ones - made of metal with little brown plastic seats and back rests) and someone kept on throwing bangers in under the crowd of seats and scaring the bejayziz out of the lot of 'em. I wasn't sitting down, as it was a damn cold night and I wanted to warm my then bald head on one of the (pathetic) radiators along the side of the hall. Still, the movie was great... very enjoyable in the right atmosphere... but right after it we watched MISERY... and I can still see that ankle breaking scene in my mind's eye to this very day. OWWWW!!! frown.gif Is it apt that the name of the actress who plays the homocidal psychotic obsessive freak in that movie is named "Bates" or is it just me?... What is it with that name?!?!... Anyway... Young Frankenstein. Gene Wilder is quite unique in his comic genius, izzinee? I mean Willy Wonka... holy blitherin' f*ck, but could anyone have played that part better? I think not... His dry humour, his wryness and his wildness helped him play Frankenstein brilliantly while still being damn funny... but in a damn subtle way...

    ya reckon?

Frau Blucher, or something near that - also of the 'My God!! What an incredible pair of knockers!!' gag outside the front doors.

My fav tho is the 'walk this way' bit on the railway station 'no no, walk this way!!' ah Marty Feldman was a bit of a genius smile.gif

    bas7ard!
i was about to put down the 'walk THIS way' bit as well.
    classic

or the bit where they are loking at the disembodied heads, 2 years....1 year....6 months, and then igors head starts singing 'i aint got no boooody'
    pure class.
1 of only about 3 good films gene wilder was in.

Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: Igor, help me with the bags.
Igor: [Imitating Groucho Marx] Soitenly. You take the blonde, I'll take the one in the turban.
Dr. Frederick Frankenstein: I was talking about the luggage.

(found this looking for the film Igor. ah well :D)
