Ok, here's the deally I'm looking for something that will fairly automatically sort all my songs and give them nice, proper id3 tags. I have a Zen NX Xtra and I'm tired of some songs not having the proper id3 tags, playing an album the songs get played out of order etc.

    Any suggestions?

on the advise of winters i highly recommend mp3-tag studio, it can fix your tags by file name or vice versa really helped me when i wanted to get the music back off my ipod and found all the file names truncated.

I'm looking for a program that will create playlists from all the files in a folder so i have a playlist for each album.
Will the above programs do that?

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies. Musicbrainz looks decent, shame its a bit on the slow side. Not sure about mp3tagstudio, the word "excessive" springs to mind.

i use mp3-tag studio it's the best out there, way better than musicbrainz anything with a "z" instead of a "s" is normally bad right? :D

I don't know if I understood your question right, but IMO this is the app you are looking for!

    http://atomic.digitalcreation.net/Downloads/files/MP3Sort.exe

if will - read all your mp3 files and sort them into folders, for example you have mp3 file names sorted this way artists - title

    black sabbath - paranoid
    black sabbath - changes
    black sabbath - dreamer
    black sabbath - crazy train
queen - we are the champions
queen - living on my own
queen - I want to break free
    scorpions - fly peoply fly
    scorpions - always somewhere

    if will create forlders

    Black sabbath
    queen
and scorpions, but sort all the titles with the artist name into appropriate folder

    Thanks for the reply

I have all my files sorte artis/album/(files) and what i wanted to do was make playlists for each folder.
While i found a program that can make playlists it wont do it automatically the way i want it but it work, select the files and then create a playlist of them. At it the last 4-5 hours now!
I'll post a link to it when i get it and one for a program that lets you edit playlists, i'm using it to edit the drive path so files will play (takes out D:\ for me)
    Thanks

    ah, k

    here's something like that

just right click on the folder and click create!

    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/mp3listshell.html

it's not exactly automatic but it saves you time from going from file to file!

Damn just finished making playlists, after about 5 maybe 6 hours, and you show me a prog that will do what i just done the easy way :(
Thanks for it anyway, i'm going to grab it and install it for the next time i need to make a playlist of files contained in a folder.
I was using Mp3tag to make playlist, and edit alot of id3 tags while i was at it. But the files wouldn't work because they have a drive letter in their path (my iriver only has that when it connected to the pc), so i used m3uedit to edit the playlist and take out the drive letter.

Note: Site seems to be down at the moment

EDIT: This seems to be a good tool to use if you have a iriver ihp series, haven't tried it yet so dont know what its like.
