Broken Power Switch

So the power on switch is gone on my case. Before I replace the case which is going to be a lot of hassle, I want to back up my data. Anybody know how I can get the thing to stay on long enough, eg, bypass the switch so it's on as soon as I plug in the powercord.

    Thanks

How do you know the switch is the problem ?

If its an ATX form Mainboard (which it will be unless it is very old) momentarilly short the two wires on the switch or the two pins on the mainboard they go to and then disconnect them. The machine should keep running. If you leave them shorted the machine will shut down.
