    let me explain myself...

    i got a dell inspirion 1150 on monday.

    installed sp2 because i didnt want any screw-ups when i went online.

    its been running very slow since, but when i run task manager often it says its running 100%, even when theres no programs running. :(

    id like, if possible, to get it sorted without ringing dell (customer service and all that)

    it has 512mb RAM, 2.6Ghz processor if thats any help.

    i know thats a bit vague but any help would be great- oh and fire away with the questions!!

    I remember hearing about problems with Dell computers and SP2, you should head over to the dell forums to see if its a common problem.

    the forum is based off there US site, a google search should find it. From what i remember its something to do with the drivers for the cpu. its been reproted in a lot of the pc websites.

    the fix is on the dell forum, a customer sorted it out. apparently dell blamed microsoft and wouldnt help, microsoft blame dell and wont help......nice!
