hi folks moved into a flat in ballincollig and can receive all the irish channels, and sky 1, discovery. but no sign of beeb, yet the guy next door, receives the same signal and has all the bbc ones and itv? how can i get these? on another note, is eircom the only place i can get a line installed? i want broadband, but its…

moved into a flat in ballincollig and can receive all the irish channels, and sky 1, discovery. but no sign of beeb, yet the guy next door, receives the same signal and has all the bbc ones and itv?

how can i get these?

on another note, is eircom the only place i can get a line installed? i want broadband, but its 130 euro for a line to install, plus line rental plus broaband monthly fee.........

Yes eircom is the only company in Ireland that can supply phone lines.
It is possible that a wireless connection might reach where you are in ballincollig which does not require a phone line. Have a browse to Digiweb Wireless

As far as I know Ballincollig is not covered by southcoast, if you dont have a cabe box try tuning in the television.
