Just wondering if I signed a 12 month lease and I left after 6. Would I only loose my deposit or could they pursue it legally? Or would they bother

    Depends on your landlord,
if hes a stingy landlord he will keep your deposit,
if hes a really stingy landlord he will keep your deposit and can take you to court for the other 6 months rent,
either way you lose your deposit

well i dont know the landlord yet, we just saw the house today and really like it but they only want a 12 month lease.we on the other hand want to move away for the summer. If it was just loosing the deposit then that would be fine but i dont want to have to go to court about it
