Well its not Open House but still nice to see that he's back.

The Big Bite is on 4days a week at 2pm

    Starts the next week

Perhaps he is not suitable for Prime Time?????

Fair point, picked it off the main page :/

It'd be great if he would change the way he interviews people- possibly giving them a chance to respond to his questions.

What format is the show? Is it a general discussion show? How long is it?

McWilliams is well suited to 'pressure' interviews (a la Paxman). You want your interviewers to be prepared, and fair but tough. He fits the bill, and I want politicians/public people to be put to the test, given a hard time. Grilled! :D

    30mins

Light News Show (I am thinking RTE's version of the business lunch)

It is produced by Tyrone Productions who produced Open House.

GreenStar Inc. (Patrick Kielty's Company) is producing RTE's version of that women's show on ITV, hard women???? as a replacement for Open House.

yay! The first step onto Question and Answers and/or Prime Time IMO.

I'd say they're just testing him out :)

/me runs to News/Media forum to spread the good news

(wait.. where did you pick this up from?)

    hard women????

Loose I think is the word. Although, noisy pointless and irritating would also work

    I think he's a fantastic interviewer.
His previous show on TV3 was very good.
    He asks the hard questions.
The new show on RTE is actually quite good but 2 in the afternoon?
It's a complete waste, unless as has been mentioned they're just giving him a run out before they put him on primetime.
