Old lappy using win 98

tryin to set up a internet connection to eircom and cant find the god dam number nor msn internet no wont work on it either

??

Anyone gimme a link to eircoms one (which ive tried looking for)
or a post to how to set one up

pantera is correct with dial up number and also you can use any password

Click the support button at the very top of eircoms homepage. gives up the TCP/IP settings, phone number and outlook mail POP settings.

nope.. it doesnt seem to be getting through..

that engaged tone keeps coming up.. Ive went through all the above isps ive went through all the help files reinstalled everthing etc .. no joy

It did work on this lap when i was on nolimits at the time.. now it doesnt seem to want to work at all ???

Any ideas ?

pick up the telephone or use your mobile to dial the number....if its still engaged then its NOT your computer or its settings thats at fault.

check with your telecom company that CALL BARRING or call restriction is not on your line....certain numbers may be blocked from access,if so just ask to lift the restriction
