What programming languages/databases do they develop with?
Im asking because i have an interview for a graduate I.T consultant position.
    Thanks in advance.

Tata consulting are part of the TATA group. One of the largest company employers in the world. You normally see their symbol on the front on those knackered truck everywhere in the third world. TATA will basically do anything.

The consulting arm is very small in europe but in india its one of the largest. Not sure home many employed by TATA consulting in India but they are quite big.

Last time I met with them in Ireland they had only 3/4 empoyees and they were looking for outsourcing projects. In other words - we'll MANAGE the development of your software in India. Mostly java projects but as always they can do anything. At the time the main guy in Ireland was Raj Shekhar (regional manager) and they had no development skills in Ireland and very little in UK.

I imagine outsourcing is still the main part of their business in Ireland/UK and they are looking for people to do the development related jobs. This is more of a hunch them any inside knowledge. But the types of jobs might be, ProtoType Development, Business Analysis, Account support etc.

As for programming languages this depends on the projects but the indian pride themsevles on being the biggest, best and most up to date programmers in the world (heard that one before !). So take your pick of languages.

And finally if you are interviewed by a native indian dont forget to complement them on that fact that they are the biggest, best and most up to date programmers in the world. They should reply with yes .... yes (while sharking the head from side to side) I think we now product ...... than ireland.

Good luck and let us know how you get on
