Gmail not working

    This is most likely the wrong place to post this question. Is anyone having problems logging into there Gmail account as I have not been able to access mine for the past two days.

    Was down briefly in the last hour or so. Back now.

    What happens when you try to access it?

    Mine has been working fine. But occasionally the GMail notifier has had trouble connecting........but connecting the next cycle.

    When I put in my name and password and push enter I just get a blank page I use Firefox and Explorer and its the same with both I even s/w of my firewall still no joy.

    Clear your temporary internet files in Explorer and your cache in Firefox.

    Are you using a proxy?

    Yeah it's up and down today. Probably not the best day to be troubleshooting.

    I don't rate gmail at all, firstly it's always going down, 5/11 people i know using it have problems, 3 peoples emails land in junk mail boxes, 4 (including my account) say the email has been sent but they are never recieved. I know it's still on beta but the service must be better than this?

    It also doesn't seem to be improving....the only thing it has going for it is it's 1GB of email storage, which for me is useless as I never keep my emails :confused: It's beta it will improve; hopefully.

    Thanks to Fintan, and the thread on boards, I have a Gmail account. Having just had The Great SP2 Disaster wreck my Aldi Medion, and being one of those lazy buggers who rely on Outlook , it seemed to me me that Gmail would be easier to use. But not so sure now.
    I'm now using Mozilla Thunderbird, and really like it. Even thinking of copying all mail to my main address on to Gmail, as web archive,
    At least I need never lose stuff again.

    it happened to me once.. on IE.

    I hit the refresh button.. and she worked.
