Did anyone see the article from the last Sunday Times about Borat (of Ali G fame)? It was basically a guy from Kazakhstan (maybe an ambassador? i cant remember) saying how the show gives a complete misrepresentation of his country. It was one of the funniest things i've ever read... included stuff like "contrary to common belief, rape and shooting dogs are not popular pasttimes for us Kazakh people." Priceless

    Yes, he is Jewish.

James Broadwater's response to saying that "Jews go to hell" in an interview with Borat... :D

The great thing about his Bruno character is that he actually does look like a very camp, gay person. It can be very difficult for straight actors to get that image right I find (e.g. the guys from Will & Grace just don't feel right.). I've been itching to say that for ages...heh.

Any chance of a link to the Borat article (Sunday Times)?

Borat rules. This cannot be denied.

Borat does rule ... although you can hardly blame any body from Kazakhstan for being insulted ... afterall it's a fairly racist portrayl

and lets face it ... have of Ireland had a tizzy fit when Ray Haughton appeared on Fantasy Football

the episode where he is learning about wine is absoulute class, i was in bits laughing at that, although throw the jew down the well was the funniest thing i have ever seen on tv.

    Bruno isn also class

"Alzo, jetzt bin ich heir mit...."

The one where Bruno interviewed Pastor Quinn, the gay converter guy, was great. "You know, just being fabulous!!!" :D

Have to say all his characters are well researched and delivered. Bruno at the superbowl was the biz as was Bhorat at the wife-finding agency... "She must be tight" - "You mean frugal?" - "No like a man's anus!" :D

I saw a scary one where he was out on a golf course and he got some religous nut to go on about how they should finish the job for Hitler. Comedy.. but some of the guests are just scary.
