folks a mate of mine put a wedding and some thai fights on seperate dvds.

when i put them in my player, it gives me a menu and i click it to play, then nothing happens, it freezes, it only happens witht this fellas dvds when he puts theses menus on them.

I can watch it on a PC no probs but I am going to copy ti for 15 people that were at the wedding, so I dont wnat the same happening to them. Is there any software out there that will allow me to, on my PC, to capture the wedding footage save it and burn it onto a dvd of my own with out the menu thingy... this might be a bit obscure but this is the best way I can explain it...

    thanks in advance paddy

dvdshrink is just the ticket for you: www.dvdshrink.org

Also check www.doom9.net for lots of dvd backup information.

yep Dvd shrink. download/rip the file then open it and click on the reauthor tab and you can drag just the main title over to the left, gets rid of all menus. Also great for getting rid of crap menus and FBI warnings/ film producer logos at the start of commercial dvds

if you have nero 6, nero recode can do that also but dvd shrink is free!

Sorry to hi-jack the thread but I used DVD Shrink recently to make a backup (seriously) of my Pirates of the Carribean DVD. Most of the movie is perfect quality except there are some 'jumpy' bits at the start and at the end. Is this just something you have to put up with with DVD Shrink or am I doing something wrong (or is there something wrong with my Pirates of the Caribbean)

Once again, apologies for hijacking the thread!!

Had a similar problem with DVDShrink, turned out to be the disk, when I reburned the movie, it worked fine.

DVDshrink automatically makes the film fill up the entire disk, I noticed on one disk I copied that the outer rings (where the end of the film is) had some wierd lines that looked like flaws, havent wathced it yet. When making cd compilations I always used to put my least favourite songs at the end as it is usually the first place to pack in or degrade.
