i have an issue with wmp 10. since i installed a codec pack when i play any of my music though wmp at the start of the song for a couple of seconds i get a slow down effect like you get when the batteries in a walkman are about to go.

i tried removing the codec pack and then reinstalling wmp but its still there.

    does anyone have a solution?

    cheers

Whewre did you get the codec pack? What codecs did it include?

this was the codec pack here.

i managed to solve the issue with a system restore though i would have preferred not to. if there is another way around it, it would be nice.

    thanks for the reply

Turn off protections and other "checking " thingies in options.

Codecs wont de anythng to slow music down as Wmp uses its own codecs for music.
