    hi
im going to get one of these two phones on vodafone over the next few days, but i'm undecided.
i know that the 6230 obviously has more functions, but is slightly more expensive
what i want to know is, how good is the sound quality on both of these phones in comparison to eachother, both normally, and on speakerphone?
also, is the battery life as good as the stated times on vodafone & nokia?
how are the graphics and quality of photos between them?
how big is the memory for storing mp3's on the 6230? (or do i need to buy a memory addon?)
also, side question: is the capacity of txt's stored in inbox down to the sim card? i think my friend's phones hold more, and my sim is a couple yrs old, so should i also request a new one (with the same number!) when i get the phone?

    thanks

I got a 6230 earlier this week. I can fit about 8 mp3s on it. Most mp3s are around 3-4MB. Usually a 1MB a minute. I will definitely be upgrading that. When listening to them on the loudspeaker the quality is very good, a lot better than expected. Although it is better again through your earphones.
As regards the battery life, it lasted around a day for the last few days, but I had bluetooth on for hours each day, transferring stuff over from my laptop. I was also listening to music on it for a couple of hours each day through the speaker phone. I was making calls ot txting any more than I would on any other day, so after the novelty of the new phone I would expect the battery to last me a lot longer than this, at least 3-4 days.
The quality of the photos are ok, look very good on the screen, but when you transfer them to the laptop they don't look near as good. The video recorder looks ok on the phone as well, if you are recording slow motion. I transferred a few minutes of a 24 eps. on to it any was amazed at the quality of the playback, excellent although the sound was poor.
I dont know about the amount of txts that can be stored but I would imagine it is around 200-300.
I would spend the extra money and go for the 6230, buya decent memory card and it does a good job as an mp3 player, sound quality is very good.

The buttons on the 6220 are, in a word, diabolical. It's something that did my nut in after only a few hours of use. The design of the keypad just isn't nice. For the extra money, you'll be glad to have the 6230. It's a far better phone over the 6220. The 6230 has a good solid feel to it. It'd be one of my favourite phones anyways.
