System Restore never restores for me! Alternative program?

    Hey guys,

    For as long as I can remember, system restore has never worked for me on Windows Xp. I had service pack 1 before and it never worked, and now I have service pack 2 and it is the same problem. It always says it "cannot restore that point" regardless of what date I select. It is really bugging me.

    Is there an alternative program that can do the job for me quickly and easily or do you have any suggestions for system restore to work?
