    P.

    Link now longer valid!

Don't think anybody on Aertel spotted the mistake or was alerted and it was up the full day. We wreck our brains to tease out the finer points and meanings and validity of those figures – and nobody notices anyway.

    Got to love teletext:
    AHERN DEFENDS GOVT OVER BROADBAND
    Communications Minister Dermot Ahern
    has defended the Government's efforts
to make Internet broadband access more
    widely available.

Mr Ahern said broadband was now
available to 3% of the population and
    this was rapidly increasing.

Speaking on RTÉ radio, the minister
    said Ireland had encountered more
    difficulties with providing broadband
    than other countries because service
providers had not invested in it.

He is in Wexford today to open the new
    E18m southeast broadband project.
