Check the RAM, swap it with some other RAM if you can. Make sure all cables are connected etc. etc., sounds like RAM/Mobo/CPU problem though.

Took the ram out n tried to boot without it to see what happens... Nothing. Theres no reason why it shouldn't be working... Bollocks is all i can say. Cant afford to be replacing parts, espec not another mobo. Tis my 4th this year!!! Not in the mood for this at all....

I had a similar problem with an asus mobo to fix it all I had to do was clear the cmos - check your motherboads manual
tis pretty easy take the battery out move a jumper away you go
    worked for me

If you have reseated all components and cleared the cmos and still get nothing. I know it’s a big job but try rebuilding your pc outside the case, just motherboard, videocard, memory and PSU. I had a similar problem before and turned out to be the case touching of the motherboard causing a short.

leaving your speakers on will tell you easy enough if its getting into windows, you'll hear the startup sound.

d'you mean it *sounds* like its starting up but the sceen doesnt show you anything?

    could the monitor be blown?

or is there absolutly no response from it whatsoever?
