Tis a great game ok,by console standards that is.Its a fun arcade racer but certainly not a sim like the many PC sims.
Having said that i do like it and had lots of fun with it but for pure realism with a [full field of cars] i could name 20-30 better racers on PC.
It comes down to what your into.

What!! you don't get much more realistic then GT, have you even checked under the bonnet of any of the cars?? Everything there is custimizable, your breaks, gear ratio, springs, everything. Ok, so there is no car damage, big deal. As for a 'full field of cars' is 500 cars not enough for you???

what the guy means the that the physics in the game are "optimistic" at best.

any game racing that can be played with digital controls at a good level is far from feal life.

try GPL, GTR & f12002 (with mods). Its hard to get out of the pits with on off switches for conrols.

GT is alright for what it is, and is probably the best console racing game, but its a long way from a real life, physics replicating sim.

I had a Ps2 a while ago and i had Gran tourismo a spec and loved the game but my ps2 broke on me!
Anyways gonna go buy the new smaller ps2 and was wondering is their a new Gran tourismo out?

Getting back to the thread!....I love GT3!My favourite racing game to be honest pipping Colin McRae rally!True it has no damage which is probably its only downside as far as i can tell!

Ive tried racing games that ry and go to the more 'realistic' side of things and to be honest they aint near as much fun!

Nothing better than pulling out the perfect lap to be honest!

friend of mine, Bios, absolutely ****ing nuts over GT3 and coming soon, GT4.

has a modded PS2 with the asian version of prologue, a limited edition FF GT wheel and is on the GT3 website in the top 3 with fastest times.

nuts about the game.
