    Hey,

This is a pic I took from an Austrian mountain (The Pfhander) of an island in the south of Germany called Lindau (where I was living at the time). I've had to resize the pic as I'm using a 56k connection. Might post the full size when I'm back in college.

well it's not very good, here's some constructive criticism:
none of the view is sharp or not affected by haze. the trees in the foreground take any attention away from the actual subject. the boats look like specks of dirt on your photo.
    is that a better reply?

Certainly is. Tells me a few things for starters.

Any ideas on what I might have done to make it better??

    Suggestions:

Take the photo in the early morning or late evening when there is a nice light.

    Use a tripod

Stop the aperature down to something like F22 so that everything is sharp.

    or photoshop it.

most likely there is nothing much you could do to make the scene look sharp from that distance away.

Apoligies for my juvenile reply. I must have come in late with a good few pints. I'll refrain from alcohol induced bull in future.

P.S. I don't (seriously) remember writing that. Sorry Gobby!
