Ok- we have a healer, a thief(who'd better have a ranged wpn), a mage(who'd better be a specialist conjurer), a healer(ranged+close combat wpns+being a dwarf will add a bit of panache to him wielding Crom Faeyr), and that leaves me to be a fighter

I'd like to play a Kensai or a Paladin inquisitor- all depends on our party's alignment really. I don't mind who the main character is- so long as it's not me- those interesting "effects" for those who've played the game- that affects the main character is something I'd rather not bother with.

As far as strongholds go- the castle is ****- except for bringing in money- the thieve's stronghold is best- plus that's the most interesting class to play in BG2. The Mage's sphere is next in terms of stronghold- although getting the Druid's Grove is certainly an adventure in itself.

I seem to have posted 24 hours before you saying i wished to be a fighter.

I know Lancer- but we could have more than one fighter in the group- 3 melee "Tank" types is what we want really- though I'd be happy to be a ranger/archer as well. Or a bard- a while since I played a bard in AD&D...

In any case- we have so far:

Whitelancer: Fighter
Lloth: 1/2orc fighter/monk
Bounca: Fighter/cleric
Me: Sneaky Ranger/Archer
Rev: Thief
PHB: Mage

Sounds like a pretty well-balanced party to me- Rev and me could scout ahead of the party- him for backstab encounter-starts, or me with boots/oil of speed to draw some beasties back for you, Lloth and Bounca to grind. We could also do a 3-person scout- One of us hidden in shadows finds a large group of meanies- then PHB waltzes in, throws a Cloudkill/horrid wilting/nasty area effect spell, and the scout zips off fast.

For plot encounters- business as usual- Rev&me pelting the magicusers with arrows, the 3 tanks mixing it- and PHB/Inquisitor paladin hard at work dispelling those damn annoying protection spells. Some of the contingency spells could be deadly unless we have either an inquisitor or a fighter/mage in addition to PHB.

I think we should play on Monday whoever shows up- if there are spots to be filled, they could be temp filled with NPCs who can be ejected from the party when they are no further use to us.

Well that's all I can think of right now- see you guys in quake.ie or #hiv on Monday night at 8!

Well it took me about 5 weeks of solid playing to do all the quests. Are we going to do the same or are we going to do that or is it a quick game of just going through the main quests.
Also alignment Good?
And its gona be level 7-9 characters as starting right, otherwise it just gets funny.

Well PHB- the XP minimum means that we'd all start our char's off at around those levels anyway. Since Lloth will be a 1/2-orc and Lancer a wizard-slayer- alignment is open to debate. Though my having a C/G ranger will make things interesting if we decide to play with an evil party *grin*.

We can do some side-quests too, it all depends on how we do with getting out of Irenicus' dungeon. Lancer will probably get Sarevok's sword being the wizard-slayer, and I have grabs on all the magical arrows we find in the dungeon
