laptops from jes

    just wondering has anyone had any experience ordering a laptop from jes. friend is about to get one and just wondering do they have german keyboards or not.

    my friend is emailing jes but thought this may be quicker. also if they did have german keyboards would it be possible to switch/replace the keys on the laptop easily.

    Remember that not only will they have German layout KB but also German OS ...changing keys is fiddly but make sure that all the keys are the same size...for example watch if it has a nipple - on mine the G H & B keys surround the nipple and have cutouts - if they had to be moved then their replacements would also need cutouts..

    ok so it will definetly have a german keyboard didn't think about the o/s either but that wouldn't be so much of a problem i suppose for him
