Ok, maybe it is, but I don't think so....

    I have a perl script called, let's say, "perlscript.pl" in directory ~myhome/temp/

The script has rwxr-xr-x permissions, a nice #!/usr/bin/perl (the correct output of "which perl") on the first line. I also have . in my PATH, yet, when I type "perlscript.pl" or "./perlscript.pl" while in ~myhome/temp/ I get "Command not found".

I'm using bash on RHEL 3.0.

Why not just type "perl perscript.pl" you ask? Answer: I need to not do that...long story. (though that does work).

    Any suggestions?

    :o:o:o

Sorry folks, found the solution. STUPID TEXTPAD was putting in those nasty ^M's at the end of a line. A simple dos2unix on a solaris box fixed the problem.
