    Hello all,

Just ordered my first electric guitar from Thomann.de

I assume the guitar isn't shipped over in the post assembled! :) Therefore, i was just wondering is it difficult to assemble an electric guitar?

Any guides on the web on how to do this?

Heh I strongly imagine Thomann are shipping your guitar ready assembled, unless the loony germans have started selling bolt on neck kits...

    Yeah, i'm fairly naive!

That's why i assumed they'd ship it over and i'd have to assemble it... like a big lego set!

    :)

No, guitars are too well crafted for companies to expect buyers to assemble them, so youre probably picturing in your head, a guitar in its packaging, being crushed by careless couriers? Fear not, the majority of places like thomann package them very safely.

    basquille-
just as a matter of interest did thomann ask you a fax of your passport and credit card? I know someone mentioned that they did before.. German websites seem to be the only ones need this info.

The guitars are completely assembled. The only thing you'll have to do when you get it is tune it to pitch. That's what I had to do with my seven string.

No, was asked for nothing like that!

But a mate of mine ordered drums off it before and paid with a bank draft i think. And he had to fax over bank statements and stuff before they'd ship it to him.
