Motorcyclist in fatal crash was banned from driving
    From:The Irish Independent
    Thursday, 9th September, 2004

A MOTORCYCLIST who lost his life in a horrific crash in Co Wexford, which also claimed the life of a motorist, had already been banned from driving.

Noel Quigley, of Crefogue, Enniscorthy, had a number of drink-driving convictions that should have kept him off the road until 2006.

But the 35-year-old was at the controls of a powerful Kawasaki that collided with the Citroen AX of Ita Roche (58), of Tombrick, Enniscorthy, on Saturday evening last at around 6pm.

The motorcyclist had just passed a tractor driven by a local farmer before colliding head-on at full speed with the small car.

Mr Quigley was buried on Tuesday where his family asked the congregation to pray for Mrs Roche.

Ita Roche was buried yesterday morning following Requiem Mass in Castledockrell Church.

Scumbag. It's subhumans like him that give the rest of us bikers a bad name and push up insurance for everyone. RIP Mrs Roche. Good riddance Mr Quigley.

But the 35-year-old was at the controls of a powerful Kawasaki...before colliding head-on at full speed with the small car.

Another candidate for a Darwin Award - it's just a pity he took an innocent person out with him. What's full-speed on a "powerful" Kawasaki though? Anyway, you don't really stand a chance of surviving any kind of smash in a Citroen AX - The reason they stopped selling them was that the safety was so bad they wouldn't even get one star in the NCAP tests...
