Now what have i broke

took my hardcano 9 unit out to fit my 64 bits in didnt i

just put it back in this afternoon..wired it all up...nothing on the screen! :eek:

it powers up as such, i mean the screen is blue its got power ..just theres no read outs on it :rolleyes:

anyone know what i can do, check or anyone else done something like this...i dont "think " ive pulled anything out ..if i had though what would stop the screen displaying ANYTHING..its just..blank

Power cables not loose or in reverse? Wire loose? Maybe a power surge took it out?

It should beep if there is something wrong with the cpu or gfx. When that happens I normally just start over.

I assume the screen hes talking about is the hardcano 9 unit not the screen of the PC itself, which I assume is working. Its only the LCD on the hardcano 9 which isn't working.

yep sorry..i mean the little screen on the hardcano unit its blue but nothing on it

no power surge to my knowledge and ive gone over all these wires..i didnt know i could "reverse" them for it not to work..ive wired this up about 5 times since i got it and ive always had a display..summats not right though it beeps when u start it up usually just to say hello..now it does nothing ..it seems to be dead...apart from the blue screen


*edit*... :eek: 1 of the fans "cpu fan" well the extra cable that comes off from that, which goes into the motherboard (im not using it though im using the zalman speed adjuster thingy..but..ive just noticed the extra bit for the motherboard has pulled off..the little yellow wire..i dont see how this can be a problem coz i aint even using it..but its not "not" coming on because im not using this 1 wire is it?

its damn hard to see in my case..do these boards have a "messy insides" thread..id love to get my pic up..its a fecking joke :rolleyes:

messy insides arent good for airflow...could be why ur system temp is a bit high. cable ties and rounded cables all the way!

Could be. The third wire is the one that monitors the speed of the fan. If its not getting any readings then, maybe thats why its blank.

i do have rounded cables! and my psu cables are uv braided!! its all this hardcano crap i tell you id rip it out and replace that and all the fans if i have the cash

gonna have to try and figure out this cpu fan though..or im stuffed and could be removing it anyway

btw - exact amount of cables when i had my barton in..sys temps - 22...the fact its in the 50's now with exactly the same mass of wires tells me its probably not that...still it does look a bit ugly/messy though..

feck sake...i got the bust 1 "wired up" temp..it works well..otherwise my cpu fan wouldnt be spin...ah crap ive just checked core centre....the bit that goes into the motherboard must still be broke "fan speed 0rpm" :mad:

flipping eck now im stuffed then ..broke the stupid thing :mad: if there wasnt so many wires this wouldnt have happened...however i dont know why other read outs wouldnt work ....like the temp ones....@#$%! im sick ..sick ..sick! of this hardcano unit..it makes the front of my case look nicccee but it takes abouit 30min to get all the stupid fans wired up to the correct adjuster coz the book is a load of crap and it makes the inside of my case look like a joke...id happily remove it but id have a huge gap at the top and i cant put a normal drive up there coz it lays about 2" too far back from the front of the door..i tried it last night with 1 of my cooldrives...

sodding ell *looks at mass of wires and get angry*

just..no 9800xt :rolleyes: ...maybe i should just buy a new side panel with no window..then i wont see the wires

lol nahh hes better "working" than letting me loose at him pcs are 1 thing..laptops..no..ta ill just leave it as it came it will past some boring hours at uni though......
