Crappy sound?

is it just me who thinks this onboard 7.1 on my K8N is crap!, i had in my last set up i cheap 5.1 soundblaster cost me like....£10 and it wiped the floor with it! thats in my secondary now i guess i could just put it back in but is there any new drivers or some hidden options i dont know about to make this crap stop…
