    A word of warning - I've used SJphone on my Dell Axim 300Mhz with Stanaphone SIP provider and it grinds the Axim to a halt. It's virtually unusable. I don't see why it couldn't be used in Ireland (I am in the US), but make sure you have a PDA with a bit of welly, at least a 400Mhz unit. Once you have a web DSL connection, it should be fine.
