Harddisk showing up as removable drive, why?

You know the icon you get in the corner when you plug in a usb memory stick? Is it normal fot that icon to be there because of the harddisk? It's a samsung sata drive on a abit mobo, i have 2 sata drives in my pc but they dont show up as a removable drive! Anyone know why this could be? Jozi
