Why do you want to find a builder? You're on the internet are you not?

Try Kieran Moloney Musical Instruments in High Street, Old Malte Arcade. Past The King's Head and down the lane beside the Hairdressers. kieranmoloney@utvinternet.com. Not sure if he makes instruments but I think so and if not will probably know someone who does.

if i was too build a clock in a shape of a guitar and i was to build a neck for the guitar clock would I still have to put in a truss rod into the neck. i would prefer not to have too put in a truss rod as this looks complicated to do.

I am deciding that maybe I shouldn;t bulid an electric guitar as it may be too much time consuming!

as loing as you don't string the neck and tune it to pitch, the truss rod isn't needed.

No of course you wouldn't need a truss rod. Unless it's supposed to be a playable guitar clock :D I imagine a guitar wouldn't be the best choice for LC because you can't show off dove-tail joints and all that. It would be an interesting project though.

He could dove tail the neck joint...

Can't possibly see why not.
Lowden were an Irish company, based in the west if I recall, but they went out of business. They were bought out by the people who make Avalons.
    Mmmmmm.... Avalons..... <drool>
