    Hi folks,

I'm travelling to New York soon, and thought I might take the opportunity to buy a new 9800 Pro, hopefully saving some money in the process.

2 questions: Firstly, will American hardware work for me in an Irish Dell PC??. And secondly, any suggestions for where'd be a good place to pick this item up in Manhatten???.

    Cheers,

    AG.

Yeah, it'll work no probs. It's just power supplies you'd have to watch out for (and even then, if they have the switch on the back to change the voltage, you'd be fine then too).

Best Buy are probably easy to find, people on US forums are always talking about them.

There was another thread here about this recently.

Yes the 9800Pro will work. Internal PC components work on voltage levels provided by the PSU. These voltages are the same everywhere.

There's a fairly decent computer shop on 5th avenue (not the cheapest part of town i hear you say), called data-vision (i think). I bought some cheap networking gear there about 2 years ago. Its down the street from a MASSIVE (but more expensive) compUSA store.
