Graphics Card Problem?

I currently have a 9700pro graphics card but there seems to be a problem with it, but dont have a clue what. My prob is that when i switch on the pc [the fan on the card starts but] i'm getting a blank monitor like there no signal going to it but when i switched card to my geforce 2 i'm getting no such problems.

I think it might be the cord connecting it to the power supply [the one thats goes via the hard-drive]. Does ne1 know where they sell them or if you can buy them online?
I'm hoping the card itself isn't at fault as i don't have the cash to splash out on a new one as i recently bought a parts for my pc.

    Thanx for the help

There's no way of putting the card into another PC?

What exactly is this cord connecting it to the power supply?
don'ty you just plug it into the AGP card from where it get's it's juice?

Used it work before and it just went blank one day or is this new?

Can you not just connect one of the power supply leads directly into the card, it doesn't have to go via a harddrive. (does it?)

The 9700 uses a floppy connector, just unplug the one from your floppy and plug it straight into the card.

Never thought of using the floppy connector, will try that and see if it works.

@ others: it plugs into the agp slot but then then theres also another connector that ya have to use via another power supply plug [like that plug ya use thru ide drives].
The card is about 3-4 months old and have been using it in the same pc since i got [though want it for one i'm building]
