It is being reported that the sale of Jordan has gone through for $90m.

I do hope this is untrue.

    The reports are here http://www.f1racing.net/en/news.php?newsID=61805

Hope it's not true, but i suspect it is.The last thing F1 needs right now is to lose another private team. :(

Considering this news is dated the 2nd of September and Eddie Jordan was on The Late Late Show on Friday night saying nothing had happed yet, I think its obviosly not true.

From what he was saying they may be interested in investing in Jordon but no deal had been done yet. To be honest it may be the only way Jordon can move forward.

I suspect its a rumor put out by Eddie Jordan to attract an investor so he can take the money and run before the whole thing falls apart.
And when I say the whole thing, I don't just mean Jordan

I hope EJ sold his team to Arden Racing - I'd LOVE to see them in F-1 ..... Eddie Jordan to me is just the King who squandered his 'gold'. If he remembered he races in F1 first, runs a business second & that marketing is a by-product of the first two, he wouldn't be in the quandry he's in now nor would the team be in the sh**s they are now. Instead of capitalising on momentum when they were doing well, they kept making too many changes to the setup, the personel & the fact stuff off the track was made more important..... "Take care of business or business will take care of you!"

Man that's nonsense. Money buys success in F1 these days. There is no opportunity for consistent success in F1 without a works engine, TBH I think Jordan and Minardi are doing well to even make it to the grid. Arden will be in for a painful surprise if they do buy Jordan. If you consider the amount of money Ford have pumped into Jaguar and Toyota's millions too, Jordan are doing an excellent job given their circumstances. Ferrari's success has made F1 a dull procession. The greatest example of which was that everyone thinks the Italian grand prix was really exciting. It was a shyte race, but for the fact the two Ferraris had do work their way through the field. They were so much faster than every other car there, if Schumacher hadn't spun he would have won by about a minute or so. Arden are going to make up the numbers, just as Jordan and Minardi currently are, unless the likes of VW enter the sport and put a free engine in the back of the car.

what jordan needs is lots of money. eddie jordan's business mind and love of f1 (if he still has that) will do the rest. f1 teams are nothing without money, and lots of it. it's just that kind of sport. hopefully things look up for them in the future. another season or two in the state they're in now will be the nail in the coffin for them..

There have been rumours of a sale to arden for $50m but i suspect thats just a ploy to get the arabs in faster. The deal eddie wants with them is to stay on for 2 years and the team keeps the jordan name and branding. I'd much rather he sell to them, they can pump in the millions the team needs. <insert tasteless 'driving the car into a building' joke here>
