Hmm, I thought Scrubs felt as though it was running out of steam throughout season 3, I hope it'll return to form in season 4. Either that or they can it after this season and leave good memories instead of milking it until it's unwatchable.

Agreed S3 did feel like this, very tired feeling from it

So basically Friends after Season 3 then yeah?

Touchstone TV wants to wait until they sell the syndication rights to the show before they release the DVDs. As soon as that happens they will come out.

Yeah, have had the Season 4 launch marked on my calender for some time now! :)

Am a massive fan of Scrubs. In my opinion, an extremely under-rated show!

Scrubs (Season 3) was somewhat staler than the previous two series but it definantly had some highpoints (such as 'My Screwup' with Brendan Fraser's character dying).

I'd expect Season 4 on Irish screens in December / January 2005. 'Fraid i can't wait for Network 2... so i'm warming bitTorrent up at the minute.

I'm expecting good things from Season 4... and also with every good Scrubs series comes even more great music!

Seriously, my iPod is jammed with music from Scrubs. Great stuff!!

PS - You should check out Zach Braff's (JD in Scrubs) Blog (http://gardenstate.typepad.com) on his movie 'Garden State'. He's a funny guy!

I dont think it was running out of steam in s3.... it was consistently funny throughout. Its tough to say it was less funny than 1 or 2, but if season 3 was scrubs worst moment, then I think we've found the worlds greatest sitcom ever (its reaching that level in my mind already...)

    Hear, Hear!

Agree with your wholeheartedly, flogen. Especially the part about it being the world's greatest sitcom.

I do think season 3 was somewhat weaker than the first 2 seasons, but a hell of a lot funnier than most of the so-called "comedies" on TV nowadays.

Read somewhere that Zach Braff is only contracted until Season 5, and has pointed in the direction he will leave before his contract's renewed!

A true shame!! He's, in my opinion, the star of the show! Sure.. Cox is an absolute genius but it's JD's neurotic moments and wacky daydreams that make the show so watchable!

Still really liked the show and there were some great episodes last season, particularly 'My Screwup' which was one of the TV highlights of the year (I think that's a fair assessment). It's sometimes a little bit too moralisng/preachy, so I can't put it on the same par as "Curb Your Enthusiasm" or - potentially - "Arrested Development" but I'm in no way going to dismiss it.

As to having my American cousins deliver the episodes to me.... Well I like watching comedies with others. I think I may just wait till it appears on TV. RTE2 will show it faithfully enough, alongside 'Joey' and it's not like other shows where plot rumors can spoil it in advance (e.g. '24').

It was a good episode, pretty much standard. Turkelton haha!

Yeah, it was fairly good! But i never trust season openers (with the exception of season 2's "My Overkill" - absolutely genius!).

Some highpoints and lowpoints are as follows. If you don't want to know minor spoilers about the new season, don't read!
    Highpoints:
    - Sugarhill Gang Alarm Clock
    - Scene with Elliot asking Molly if she wants her to rub ointment on her thighs (and all the men hanging on for the response) - classic Scrubs!
    - Cox's 'everything i don't care about' speech
    - The ending with JD landing on the X (knew the peace settlement he made with the Janitor wouldn't last)
    - Cox's 'becoming a doctor speech' - loved the moment when he pointed out that JD would not be 'that resident that killed somebody anymore', he would now be a doctor with responsibilities!
    - JD's nod to the background soundtrack - genius!

    Lowpoints:
    - Heather Graham (another poor attempt at a celebrity trying to inject their humour into the show). I think the female guest stars of Scrubs are somewhat lacking in comic talent. In fact, Elliot and Carla are starting to become a bit stale. The exception would be Christa Miller as Jordan though - brillant to watch! I don't think we will never get a guest star as good as Brendan Fraser again!
    - No Todd, Very little Kelso, No Ted!
    - Big question in my mind... what happened to JD and Elliot's unresolved conflict at the end of last season? It appeared with Elliot sedating JD in the lift at the beginning. But then seemed to disappear when they were discussing they JD, Carla and Turk had formed a group.

Does anyone know if/when Garden State will be shown here?

Zach Braff is going on the road with it in the UK in October... so possibly around then!

It's the film i'm most looking forward to this year!

November 26th, ties in with your idea basquille... after reading about it and looking at that site I have to say I'm looking forward to it as well. I can't wait for it actually.

EDIT: Further down that thread says 1st of January... gah! IMDB only has USA release dates and a release in Spain sometime in mid-October.

Been looking forward to 'Garden State' for some time now!

Ever since i saw the teaser trailer early this year. Which by the way, i really recommend watching both the teaser trailer (even though it's dialogue-free, it's a really amazing trailer. You'll understand what i mean when you hear how the amazing music in it by Frou Frou goes with the images) and also the theatrical trailer (which gives you more of an idea of the storyline). Links to both are on HERE.

If we have to wait to 1st January 2005, there's bound to be a Region 1 DVD out at that stage. Will probably just buy it off CDWOW!

PS - I mentioned this above but Zach Braff's Blog is really worth checking out also!

Not a classic episode but not a bad start to the new season. I am looking forward to next week's show.
