I use a crappy Wingman, only has standard 4 buttons with another 2 on the top and a D pad. Most of the newer games need more controls and buttons to play properly.

So recommend me a good one. i was thinking of buying an Xbox controller converter online as i kinda like the way they feel.

I have a collection of gamepads
Best Interact Hammerhead FX€29 Dual analog and D Pad and 14 buttons (best part is 6 on the face) so all arcade games are fine.
Saitket p 3000 €49 wireless excellent pad D pad is fine analog a bit floppy but 6 buttons on face make it perfect for Sf2ness.
Logitech Ps2 clone €29.99 from Argos , good all rounder perfect for PS emus but only has 4 buttons on face so not great for Arcade fighters but good for Snes.
N64 pads with adaptoid dont use em much do to funkiness and reinstalling everytime i reboot. But for N64 games they perfect.

I use the first release of the sidewinder. Lovely pad. Has 6 main buttons 2 shoulder and 2 start and select type buttons. Also the first sidewinder had a gamepad port on the top of the pad that allowed you to link another 3 pads together with just one gameport. We have 4 between me and my friends so it is ideal for all emulation games. Simpsons arcade in 4 player has to be experienced.

Could anyone reccomend a good controller for someone who mostly plays fighters (Samurai showdown, King of Fighters, Street Fighter 2 Turbo etc.) with emulators such as MAME, NeoRage and Zsnes? I was thinking of getting one of those USB converters from play.com, they any good?

    Thanks.

I use this one as well - nice having the 4 shoulder buttons, an extra two face buttons (start/select type thing) would make it perfect. Works for me for Mame fighters as well, but I can see how it'd be annoying to get used to (well, unless you were a big Snes fan for years and got used to using that layout anyway...).
