So, which do people prefer? Bolt on, set neck, set through or neck through?

I have instruments with all these configurations. Can't say I have a favourite though. They all have big positives and big negatives too. There's is no truly correct way to heal the divide twixt neck and body.

I just hate heels tbh. Especially uncontoured heels. Reduces the upper fret access to near enough zero!

Millions of Leo Fender designed guitars can't be wrong :D

    You'd be surprised :P

Personally, I like my hand to be comfortable while playing higher than the 17th fret.

Depends how you play. I know a few people who hate playing without the heel. Check out the heel on current PRS set neck guitars and you'll see what I mean.

Why??? Sand that thing down then I'd be happy.

They've also removed all references to their Single Cuts from the website. Damn Gibson!

I just closed my eyes and picked neck through at random. What's the difference between a set neck and set through?

I knew someone would ask that!

Set Through is a longer tenon than Set Neck.

I'd love to see one that just tapers nicely through. The Ibanez SR905 is about as close to perfect as I've played as far as neck construction is concerned.
