There's a normal train from Prat Airport, should cost about 2.50 euro and it takes about 25 minutes.

For cheap accomodation, I stayed in Hostel Mediterranean (sp?). Smack bang in the middle of the city, very cheap (18.50 euro a night) and very clean, with excellent staff. Booked it on www.hostelworld.com.

There's plenty of things to see and do there : Nou Camp, Las Ramblas, Olympic Stadium, Sagrida Famillia (sp?), cable cars to Montjuic etc...
